Course List
Myth-Ritual-Mystics (3 Credit GL)
This course focused on an array of traditions, ceremonious acts, legends, and fables all over the world. They all connected to the human need to create and be apart of stories or traditions together. Each week we looked at new cultures and conducted research on them. We wrote papers on a number of them.
Introduction to Global Gender (3 Credit GL)
This course was considered a women's study course. It highlighted issues and topics of discussion concerning women all over the world. Some examples include women driving in other countries, the right to vote, and equal pay. It showcased different outlooks that women need to deal with on a global scale. On a regular basis, we created discussion posts and wrote a final research paper.
Theatre Appreciation (3 Credit GL)
In this course, we studied theatre through the ages going as far back as the Globe theatre. We wrote a number of papers, went to go see production being performed at the university, and even acted in our own monologues. It showcased theatre from all over the world and connected them to the human need for the arts.
Communication in Film (3 Credit GL)
This course exposed us to films on a regular basis throughout the semester. There were a lot of films to choose from and they spanned from french to polish. After each film and various film clips, we reflected on a number of key cornerstones in all films made by people, culminating in one final reflection bringing it all together.
