As part of the Global Learning Program, there is a common activity known as the Tuesday Round Table where speakers come to discuss an array of current event topics. Over the course of the last semesters since the pandemic changed things, these events have been held online so all students could still participate. I was able to attend a number of these open discussions. Some of the discussions I went to focused on: Women’s Equality Day, Global Health and the Importance of Social Responsibility , The Influence Industry: Who Congress Listens to, and How to Raise Your Voice, Human Trafficking: Handling Crises in Times of Crises, Climate and Health Equity.
Each discussion left me with a plethora of new information, a new topic to ponder on, and something to take action about!
